Obama versus McCain

The presumptive Democratic nominee Obama triggered this campaign´s new phase against the presumptive Republican nominee McCain assailing the opponent on Economy. Obama attacked McCain stating that the Republican is likely to keep on causing economic and political woes the same way Bush has been doing lately.

According to The Guardian, the Economy is the issue to be discussed now.

presumptive: affording reasonable grounds for belief or acceptance

to assail: to make a verbal attack

woe: suffering,  misery resulting from affliction
